I am very proud of what our Association has accomplished in this past decade. Growing from a voluntary membership of 350 practitioners in 2001 to nearly 1000 today, the Paramedic Association of Manitoba has been a leader in advocating for excellence in patient care and our profession. During that time, there have been significant advances in service delivery, education and professional development, and paramedics have had a strong voice in related decisions through the Association. I’m confident that relationships we’ve developed and the reputation we have earned will continue to serve the profession and our patients well in coming years.
Looking forward, I believe new energy, new blood and new initiatives are vitally important to the continued success of our Association and the profession. I join Paramedics across Manitoba in welcoming Jodi as the newly elected Association Chair and look forward to working with her in the leadership transition over the next few weeks.
